Costway 58qt Portable Electric Car Cooler
I ordered this refrigerator freezer cooler based on the cost per qt size, which is the best value with this model / style cooler. I received the refrigerator cooler in the mail approximately a week later. After opening the box I was immediately impressed with the quality and size of the cooler. I let the refrigerator freezer sit for a 24 hour period before usage as described in the booklet material. On Sunday Aug 16, 2000 4pm I powered on the cooler, documenting power 12volt battery usage while in operation. I started the usage test plugging the cooler into the 12v port of a Goal Zero Yeti 1000 power supply with 92 % battery life. Sun 4:00pm 92% battery - START Sun 9:02pm 83% battery Sun 11:05pm 81% battery Sun 11:50pm 80% battery Mon 5:30am 78% battery Mon 7:00am 78% battery - End 15hrs later Max watts observed was 63 watts upon initial start. This cooler is very quiet, I was impressed with the power usage considering the size of the cooler. I find the cooler to be designed very well, being able to operate the cooler from either side or just having the ability to remove the top for cooler packing or cleaning actions. I have started documenting long term cooler durability while being mobile. I really want / hope to see the cooler maintain quality over time. I want people to know the quality they are buying and will be happy to post my findings at a future date before the holiday season. [email protected]

Exceeded expectations
Received in a very well packaged box, in mint condition despite you can tell the box did get hit during shipping, there was no damage done to the unit thanks to great packaging! The fridge is huge, I can definitely pack a lot of stuff in it, also least 8 days of daily food for a camping trip. The unit does seem very sturdy and well built, handles are solid and just the overall look of it is beautiful, better than some competitors. Compressor runs smooth and quiet. The users manual is not very friendly since it’s written in poor English, and lacks some information about compressor running modes differences and other stuff but it’s not rocket science either so not a big deal. Overall I’m very happy with it and would totally recommend it!

Costway representative - Q:I keep getting the low-voltage error even though my battery is pushing 13.3 volts (it's a lithium RV batter). It seems fine when plugged into AC, I looked on the plug that came with the unit and the converter box that transforms the AC into DC is sending 14.5 volts into the fridge and that seems to work fine. Is there a way to somehow turn off the low voltage protection?? Or is there a part in the electronics that can be replaced? Maybe the internal voltage meter is wrong?? Right now I can't use this unless I'm home plugged into the wall. So it's basically useless.A:Hi, the battery protection can not be disabled. I tend to use it more during road trips and camping trips, which occurs about once every few monthsA:It's ok to keep the power on, but it is recommended to clean the machine and store it after the power off.

Temperature range: -22°C~+10°C (32°C ring temperature)); -26°C ~ +10°C (25°C ring temperature) Normally the left side is for freezing, the right side is for cooling. You could lower the temperature of the left side to reach freezing mode of 2 sides..
Costway representative - Q:Is there a 12v / 24v selection switch? Would say16-18 volts DC input be a problem?A:There is a switch point at 17V, the compressor will stop working if it is below 17V, but above 17V is ok..
